Black Ops 7 Cursed Mode explained

Cursed Mode in Black Ops 7 is one of the multiple options you'll get when deciding how you want to take on the Zombies map.

Cursed Mode is slightly trickier than the Standard Mode, but it's also different to the Survival mode. So, what exactly is going on in Cursed Mode in Black Ops 7 and is it worth picking over the rest?

Black Ops 7 Cursed Mode explained

Cursed Mode in Black Ops 7 is a harder mode for playing through the Zombies maps. In Cursed Mode you'll have a reduced on-screen HUD, removing a lot of the guiding markers and weapon icons as well as having no mini-map in the upper corner of your screen. Essentially, you'll be left to explore using your own experience of the map you're on.

At the time of writing, Cursed Mode is only available on the Ashes of the Damned map, however it's likely to be added to more Zombies maps in the future.

Also in Cursed Mode you're limited with the amount of loadouts you can use and you must complete the standard quest in this mode to unlock Relics. Then, once you've unlocked them, you need to complete various challenges in Cursed to gain different Relics.

Now, Relics are very important for Cursed Mode because they can alter your in-game experience by giving you helpful bonuses and boosts. You need to equip Relics to increase your current tier level to get better rewards. However, doing this come at price. While Relics do give you boosts, they will also make your run a lot harder - so it's a give and take.

You can check the rewards on rotating for each tier in the bottom right corner of your screen while you're waiting in the Cursed lobby.
