Featuring David Tennant and Michelle Yeoh.
It's been so long since dino-survival sequel Ark 2 was unveiled, its preposterous Vin Diesel-starring CGI trailer almost feels like a dream. For the RuneScape community as a whole the release of Sailing marks the day a meme, a myth, a legend becomes reality. For Old School RuneScape - the retro spin off MMO of RuneScape 3 based off of an 07 backup - it marks the arrival of its first ever new, exclusive, Skill. It's quite the regatta after the past proposed Skills, like Warding and iconically the first version of Sailing ten years ago, failed to pass the player polls. Now, however, the anchors are hoisted and the sails are set as Sailing voyages into OSR.

"All in all, I don't think the success has impacted me much."
It all began innocently enough. It was September and Megabonk was blowing up on Steam, and I was curious. What was this game that had arrived without a formal introduction and raced to more than 100,000 concurrent players? It was the latest in a line of unpredictable viral hits, and I wanted to know more. I wanted to know who it came from, whether it was a slapdash cash-grab made by an opportunistic company, or whether there was something, or someone, more genuine behind it.

Former Xbox boss Peter Moore has recalled why Microsoft poached him from Sega to head-up the company's Xbox 360 charge. He had experience launching the Dreamcast, yes, but more alluring seemed to be his experience of being part of Sega's battle in a console war. Part 1: Former boss Peter Moore takes us back to the origins of the modern console war.
Peter Moore is one executive who can probably claim to have done it all. Having recently fulfilled a lifelong dream of being CEO of Liverpool Football Club, this Liverpudlian businessman also spent decades working in video games, leading EA, helping Sega launch the Dreamcast and, of course, making a real contender of Microsoft's gaming business with the launch of Xbox 360. Perfect games remembered.
When I think about the Xbox 360 it's hard to not want to go back. I get this feeling whenever looking at old games, my memories of the experiences inseparable from my memories of life at the time. There's one game (series, really) that sticks in my mind more than any other, charting my path from a wannabe to an established member of the games press - that might sound like an odd moment in time to be fond of, but from an early age I desperately wanted to make a career out of games media, and the 360 era is when this solidified into reality.
