CD Projekt Red organising a second European tour for The Witcher in Concert in 2026, and it's well worth going if you can

The touring Witcher in Concert musical performance was a resounding enough success that CD Projekt Red has announced a second tour for Europe next year.

For what it's worth, I watched The Witcher in Concert in London earlier this month and was very impressed. A 14-piece ensemble played through the music of The Witcher 3 (plus expansions) all while a specially cut montage of game moments - divided into chapters - played on a projected screen above.

More excitingly, perhaps, the ensemble included Polish folk metal band Percival, which co-composed the music in the game. It's their almost guttural singing and discordant-sounding harmonies that provide The Witcher 3 with such a distinctive sound. It's a rousing performance.

This is from a different concert several years ago, but it gives an idea of what to expect from Percival. It's hair-raising seeing the music you'll know so well performed in front of you.Watch on YouTube

There will also be an Asian tour next year though no details are available for it yet.

The Witcher 3 turned 10 years old this year - a milestone anniversary the Witcher in Concert tour was created to celebrate - and a lot has happened in that time. Cyberpunk 2077 was built and released, which brought all kinds of challenges to be overcome. A decade later, the studio is returning to The Witcher world with brand new instalment The Witcher 4. And I thought this anniversary would be a good time to look back on The Witcher 3 with the studio, at what it got wrong, and what it got right.
