Save $250 on this M4 MacBook Air from Amazon US in an early Black Friday slam dunk
Across all colours of the base model, too.
It's now possible to get the latest M4 MacBook Air for $750 from Amazon USA as part of a brilliant early Black Friday deal that knocks $250 off its $1000 list price of all of the colour variants. That's a great price for the go-to best ultraportable laptop.
The M4 MacBook Air came out earlier this year and comes with a big boost to both CPU and graphics performance, alongside double the RAM, better battery life and a brighter Liquid Retina display than the venerable M1 MacBook Air. That makes it a solid upgrade for anyone on the original Apple Silicon Air, or an ideal first Mac laptop in its own right.

Apple MacBook Air M4 (16GB/256GB)Now $749.99 (was $999.99) |
The M4 chip continues Apple's incremental upgrades to the M-series chips from previous years, although arguably provides a larger jump because of both improvements to single-core performance, as well as the benefit of two extra cores on both the CPU and GPU, being bumped up to 10 from the M3's eight. The M4 therefore is a suprisingly beefy choice that can easily handle emulation, a fair bit of gaming, coding, video editing and so on.
There are also incremental upgrades elsewhere, with the move to 16GB of unified memory on the base model to provide more headroom for intensive workloads and general computing, as well as proper support for multiple displays, with the Thunderbolt 4 ports on the M4 MacBook Air supporting two external screens with the lid up, where it needed to be down on the M3. You also get a more powerful 12MP webcam with Apple's Centre Stage tech that makes sure you're always in frame, being able to zoom and pan at will.
Otherwise, it comes with the same 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display as previous recent MacBook Airs, leading to fantastic detail and clarity, although with the standard 60Hz refresh rate, as Apple hasn't ported the 120Hz ProMotion panels on MacBook Pros over just yet. The 256GB storage on this base model is fine, and easily extended with some fast external storage.
The port selection of a pair of USB-Cs and the MagSafe for charging is also a step up over the original M1 MacBook Airs, which just came with the USB-C ports, and of course you can now pick up cheap and powerful USB-C hub to plug in full-size USB peripherals, an HDMI port, SD cards, wired networking and so on. As for battery life, Apple says this MacBook Air should last for up to 18 hours on a single charge, giving you good endurance for a couple of working days away from the charger.
If you want to grab the latest MacBook Air with a fantastic discount, this early Black Friday reduction on the M4 option from Amazon USA is not to be missed.
