How to get Scizor in Pokémon Legends Z-A
Here's how to evolve Scyther into Scizor in Lumiose City.
Scizor is a fan-favourite Bug/Steel-type Pokémon that makes a return in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, alongside his Bug/Flying-type pre-evolution, Scyther. Unfortunately, Bug/Rock-type counterpart Kleavor doesn't make an appearance in Lumiose City, but here's hoping we may see them arrive in future Pokémon Legends: Z-A DLC…
If you're looking to evolve Scyther and finally add Scizor to your Pokédex, here's how to get Scizor in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

How to get Scizor in Pokémon Legends Z-A
To get Scizor in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you first need to catch a Scyther, which isn't the easiest feat in Lumiose City.
Scyther location
Scyther is found in Wild Zone 13 during the night, which can be a pretty unforgiving Wild Zone given that there's an Alpha Pokémon prowling the area: Alpha Trevenant. With that in mind, you'll want to sneak over towards where Scyther is located, or try taking out the Alpha Pokémon first – without knocking out any Scythers – so you can safely try catching the 'mon.
Scyther is also a difficult catch. I've wasted many Ultra Balls on the 'mon, so make sure you're stocked up via a Pokémon Center or the Poké Ball Boutique first. I also recommend not knocking Scyther out to try and catch it, and simply reducing its HP as much as possible instead. Otherwise, a knocked out Scyther will flee if you fail to catch it the first time.
On top of that, it's worth upgrading the Blue Canari Plush using Colorful Screws to enhance your Catch Rate.
Evolving Scyther into Scizor
Once you've caught a Scyther in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, it's time to evolve them into Scizor via Trade Evolution… and a unique Evolution Item.
To do this, you need to give your Scyther the Metal Coat item to hold. Then, you need to trade them with another player. Upon arriving with your trade partner, Scyther will evolve into Scizor – thanks to the Metal Coat item – and they will then need to be traded back to you if you wish to add them to your Pokédex and keep them.
If you don't yet have the Metal Coat item, here's how to get the Metal Coat in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
You can also use Trade Codes to quickly trade with another player if need be, but as always, be wary of trading your precious Pokémon online with strangers.
Good luck with evolving Scyther into Scizor in Pokémon Legends: Z-A!
