The Ice Stone is an Evolution Item in Pokémon Legends: Z-A that's only needed to evolve one Pokémon at the time of writing, so you might be in no rush to get it. That said, if you do wish to complete the Pokédex and collect every Eeveelution in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you'll want to track down an Ice Stone sooner or later, and that's easier said than done.

To help you with getting your hands on an Ice Stone, here's how to get the Ice Stone in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

How to get the Ice Stone in Pokémon Legends Z-A

The Ice Stone is an Evolution Item in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but like the Shiny Stone and Dawn Stone, it's not super easy to get your hands on. The only methods of acquiring a Ice Stone in Lumiose City are:

  • A reward from Side Mission 102 - A Chilling Challenge, which is unlocked during Main Mission 35.
  • Purchasable from the Stone Emporium for $3,000 during the post-game.
  • Found around Lumiose City as loot.

As you can see, unless you find an Ice Stone while roaming around Lumiose City, you won't be able to get one until you're approaching the very end of the game and/or entering the post-game of Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

All Ice Stone locations in Pokémon Legends Z-A

Below is a map from our friends at Map Genie of the locations of all Ice Stones that can be found in Lumiose City:

Ice Stone location #1

The first Ice Stone is found on some scaffolding in Rouge Sector 8, in a small courtyard directly east of Wild Zone 4. You'll need to climb onto the rooftops and jump down to access it, or use the Roto-Glide ability.

Ice Stone location #2

The second Ice Stone is found on the rooftop of the shopping plaza in Rouge Sector 4, which is a short walk northwest of Wild Zone 3. If you scale the shopping plaza, you'll find a ladder just to the left of its southmost entrance, taking you directly to the rooftops.

Ice Stone location #3

The third Ice Stone is found on the edge of one of the rooftop courtyards in Jaune Sector 9.

To access this Ice Stone, I recommend fast-traveling to Jaune Pokémon Center and using the Holovator southwest of it to access the rooftops. From here, you'll be able to freely walk across the rooftops using the scaffolding to access the small courtyard containing the Ice Stone.

Ice Stone location #4

The fourth Ice Stone is found on the rooftop of a building in Blue Sector 4, directly beside Wild Zone 10. There is a Holovator beside this building that you can use to access the rooftops.

Ice Stone location #5

The fifth Ice Stone is found inside of Wild Zone 12, meaning you'll have to avoid some hostile wild Pokémon while grabbing this one.

More specifically, the Ice Stone is closest to the western entrances, where it's found beside the water's edge.

Ice Stone location #6

The sixth Ice Stone is found on some scaffolding along South Boulevard, east of the Pokémon Research Lab. You'll need to use Roto-Glide or a well-timed roll to reach it.

Ice Stone location #7

The seventh and final Ice Stone can be found in Lumiose Sewers, which is accessible following Side Mission 57 - The Camerupt Entrepreneur. From the entrance, take the first left and keep going straight ahead until you reach a dead end. The Poké Ball at the end of this path contains an Ice Stone.
