Gible is a Dragon/Ground-type Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A that eventually evolves into the formidable Garchomp, who is a very strong pseudo-legendary Pokémon to have in your party. On top of that, he isn't too difficult to get your hands on despite being a particularly rare spawn in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

If you're hoping to add a Mega Garchomp to your Pokémon party, here's how to get Gible in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, as well as how to evolve them and get Garchompite.

Pokémon Legends Z-A Gible location

Gible is located in Wild Zone 8 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A during both night and day, but it's worth bearing in mind that this small dinosaur-like 'mon is a rare spawn.

Not only that, but you can't just waltz into Wild Zone 8 and expect to see a Gible. Much like Drilbur, Gible hides itself in dirt mounds around the area. You'll want to run around all of these and see if a Gible pops out anywhere.

If Gible doesn't appear, you can simply fast-travel back to Wild Zone 8 to reset the Pokémon there. Once you do see a Gible, I recommend saving your game – if you can – just in case he flees before you catch him.

On top of that, Gible was a hard catch in my experience. As is the case with Alpha Pokémon, I recommend reducing Gible's HP as much as you can and trying to catch them before you knock them out. If you knock Gible out and then fail to catch him, he will despawn, and this happened to me more than I'd like to admit!

How to evolve Gible in Pokémon Legends Z-A

Fortunately, Gible is one of the easier Pokémon to evolve in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Their evolution chain is as follows:

  • Gible evolves into Gabite at Level 24
  • Gabite then evolves into Garchomp at Level 48

If you want to speed this process up and get your hands on a Garchomp as soon as possible, I recommend using EXP Candy and Rare Candy to do so. You can also exchange Mega Shards for EXP Candy at Quasartico Inc. if you're running low, or go spend some time completing some Side Missions, which often reward you with Candies.

How to get Garchompite in Pokémon Legends Z-A

If you're hoping to Mega Evolve your Garchomp in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you're in luck! Though, you will need to cough up some Poké Dollars.

The Garchompite Mega Stone can be purchased from the Stone Emporium for $70,000.
