Florges is one Pokémon that can be particularly tricky to get your hands on in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. For a start, you won't see it out in the wild until you're quite late into the main story of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and evolving a Floette into Florges requires a rare Evolution Stone that isn't easy to find.

To help you with completing the Pokédex and getting your hands on a Florges of your own, here's how to get Florges in Pokémon Legends: Z-A (and how to get Mega Floette while you're at it).

How to get Florges in Pokémon Legends Z-A

To get Florges in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you need to either catch one or evolve one from Flabébé and/or Floette.

Catching Florges

To catch a Florges, you first need to have progressed through enough Main Missions to have unlocked Wild Zone 20. Here, there's a chance for a Level 63 Alpha Florges to spawn that you can try and catch.

Alpha Pokémon are tough to beat and even tougher to catch. To increase your chances of adding Alpha Florges to your Pokédex, I highly recommend doing the following:

  • Do not knock Alpha Florges out. Reduce their HP as much as possible and then try to catch them. If you try to catch them after knocking them out and fail, they will despawn.
  • After encountering Alpha Florges, save your game. This way, you can reload your game if Alpha Florges flees.
  • Use a mixture of Ultra Balls and later, Timer Balls, to increase your chances of catching them.
  • Upgrade the Blue Canari Plush using Colorful Screws. This increases your Catch Rate.

Evolving Flabébé and Floette into Florges

Alternatively, rather than battling it out with Alpha Florges in Wild Zone 20, you can catch either a Flabébé or a Floette and evolve them into Florges.

Flabébé is found in Wild Zone 3, while their evolution Floette is found in Wild Zone 7. It's up to you which one you catch, but if you're filling out the Pokédex, we recommend starting with Flabébé. If you want a specific color variant of Flabébé that isn't red, check out our Flabébé locations guide.

Flabébé will then evolve into Floette once they reach Level 19. To do this quickly, give some EXP Candy or Rare Candy to your Flabébé. Once you have a Floette, you're almost ready to evolve them into Florges. To do this, you'll need to give Floette a Shiny Stone.

If you don't yet have a Shiny Stone to give to your Floette, here's how to get a Shiny Stone in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

How to get Floettite in Pokémon Legends Z-A

If you hold off on evolving Floette into Florges, or have one to spare, you can actually Mega Evolve Floette in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. That said, it'll take a while – and all of the game's Main Missions – to get there.

To get the Floettite Mega Stone, you must win 15 battles during the Infinite Z-A Royale and then beat your rivalUrbain or Taunie – which takes place during the post-game.

Good luck evolving Floette and getting Florges in Pokémon Legends: Z-A!
