Rogue Mega Hawlucha recommended level
Rogue Mega Hawlucha’s Level is 41, therefore we recommend being between Level 39 and 46 to take them on. If you’re below this level it is possible to take them on, but try to build your team around their weaknesses instead.
Rogue Mega Hawlucha boss strategy
To prepare for this battle you’ll ideally want to build your team around Rogue Mega Hawlucha's weaknesses, which are Electric, Ice, Flying and Psychic-types. Be careful when building your team as Hawlucha has a few resistances, and they are immune to Ground-types.
As with most other Rogue Mega battles, the key to this one is to keep moving and don’t stay in one place for too long. Remember, you are a target as well as your Pokémon. Also, if you know you can’t get away from an attack in time, you can return your Pokémon to their Poké Ball and take the hit yourself.
Also, don’t forget that you can use your Mega Ring to Mega Evolve once it’s full. If you’re at a lower level than Rogue Mega Hawlucha then we recommend waiting for your Mega Evolution and don’t use Plus Moves before this. However, if you’re at an equal level to or higher than them, then you can use a bit of your Mega Ring’s charge to use Plus Moves.
Here are Rogue Mega Hawchula’s attacks and abilities:
- Aerial Ace (Flying-type) - Hawlucha will get close to you Pokémon and swing their claws at them for this move. There’s little warning before Hawlucha does this, so it’s best to try to attack from a distance if you can.
- Air Slash (Flying-type) - Hawlucha will hold up one of their wings and then swing it out, unleashing slashes of deadly air at you. Once you see them stand still and move their wing like this, make sure you’re not standing in one spot or it will get you.
- Flying Press (Fighting-type) - Hawlucha begins to glow and starts pulling in energy towards itself, the light around it will intensify before jumping into the air above the battlefield as it charges up. You ideally need to stop Hawlucha charging by attacking them at this point. If you don't, they'll launch into the air and slam back down on top of you if you're standing still. Again, the trick is to keep moving but also look for Hawlucha's shadow on the ground, this will tell you where they're landing. Also, make sure you're a good distance away from the landing spot as they'll send out a shockwave once they hit the ground.
- Brick Break (Fighting-type) - The easiest way to avoid getting caught by this is to simply not get too close to Hawlucha. If you see one of your Pokémon getting too close, return them to their Poké Ball for the moment to get them to safety.
When you defeat Rogue Mega Hawlucha you’ll be rewarded with Hawluchanite. This is the Mega Stone you need to Mega Evolve a Hawlucha during a battle.
That's all for now! Good luck beating Rogue Mega Hawlucha in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
