Rogue Mega Froslass recommended level
Rogue Mega Froslass is Level 53, therefore we recommend being between Level 51 and 58 to take them on. If you’re below this level it is possible to take them on, but try to build your team around their weaknesses instead, and if you’re at a higher level then this fight should be a bit easier for you.
Rogue Mega Froslass boss strategy
To prepare for this battle you’ll ideally want to build your team around Rogue Mega Froslass’ weaknesses, which are Fire, Rock, Ghost, Dark and Steel-types. We really recommend avoiding any Normal or Fighting-types because Froslass is immune to them, meaning they wouldn’t be any help - and with Froslass, every bit of damage counts.
You should also make sure your inventory is filled with Revives and HP potions for your chosen set of Pokémon. While Froslass’ attacks aren’t particularly fast, they do hit incredibly hard if they catch you.
Remember you can use your Mega Ring to Mega Evolve once it’s full. If you’re at a lower level than Rogue Mega Froslass then we recommend waiting for your Mega Evolution and don’t use Plus Moves before this. However, if you’re at an equal level to or higher than them, then you can use a bit of your Mega Ring’s charge to use Plus Moves.
- Phantom Force (Ghost-type) - Froslass will disappear and then teleport elsewhere in the battle zone. Watch the ground, wherever the purple shape is will be where Froslass will reappear.
- Icy Wind (Ice-type) - Froslass will lift its arms up and conjure several ice-tornadoes where you're standing. When you see them lifting their arms, make sure you get as far away as you can before the tornadoes become full size.
- Will-O-Wisp (Fire-type) - They will unleash several small purple orbs towards you. Now, these can track your movements so don't stand still and keep running away from them until they dissipate.
- Shadow Ball (Ghost-type) - Froslass will conjure up one large purple orb and toss it at the closest target. Once you see the orb beginning to form in their hands, the best thing you can do is get away from it. If a Pokémon is too close, you can return them to their ball to keep them safe. This attack may also lower the targets Special Defense.
- Blizzard (Ice-type) - Froslass will pull energy into itself and then large ice slabs will fall from the ceiling. The best thing to do at this point is to slightly pan your camera up to see where they're forming, then move out of the way of them as they start to rain down. This attack may freeze the target.
- That's just the beginning, once all the slabs are down Froslass will pull charge into itself again then unleash a large AOE ice attack. The best thing you can do here is to get to the outer edge of the battle zone to avoid being hit.
Your reward for defeating Rogue Mega Froslass is Froslassite. This is the Mega Stone you need to Mega Evolve a Froslass in battle.
Good luck battling Rogue Mega Froslass in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
