Rogue Mega Beedrill recommended level
Rogue Mega Beedrill’s Level is 41, therefore we recommend being between Level 39 and 46 to take them on. If you’re below this level it is possible to take them on, but try to build your team around their weaknesses instead.
Rogue Mega Beedrill boss strategy
To prepare for this battle you’ll ideally want to build your team around Rogue Mega Beedrill’s weaknesses, which are Fire, Flying, Rock and Psychic-types. Now, this does give you a bit of freedom, but you still need to be mindful because Beedrill also has a lot of resistances so you’ll want to avoid choosing any of these Pokémon types.
You can also find a fair few Pokémon that double up on Beedrill’s weaknesses like Fletchinder and Talonflame as they're both Fire and Flying-types.
Remember, you can use your Mega Ring to Mega Evolve once it’s full. If you’re at a lower level than Rogue Mega Beedrill then we recommend waiting for your Mega Evolution and don’t use Plus Moves before this. However, if you’re at an equal level to or higher than them, then you can use a bit of your Mega Ring’s charge to use Plus Moves.
One thing to remember for this entire fight is to keep moving and don’t let Rogue Mega Beedrill get too close to you or your Pokémon. They move fast, so the best tactic is to avoid standing in one place for too long. Also, when you stun Beedrill, attack them as much as you can as fast as you can - but still don’t get too close!
Here are Rogue Mega Beedrill’s attacks and abilities:
- Kakuna Spawn - Beedrill will roar and then spawn multiple Kakuna’s around the battle area. It’s tempting to ignore them, don’t. The Kakunas can use Poison Sting (Poison-type), String Shot (Bug-type) and other attacks that will chip away at your health if you’re not careful. However, never ever take your eyes off Beedrill!
- Beedrill Spawn - If Kakuna's weren't bad enough, then later in the fight Beedrill can also spawn regular Beedrills for you to deal with!
- Lunge (Bug-type)- Beedrill will push its stinger out in front of it and lunge towards you. To avoid this, just keep moving around and don’t stand in one spot for more than a few seconds.
- Poison Jab (Poison-type) - Beedrill will almost gently nudge their stinger out in front of them, but be wary of this because it's poisonous!
- Pin Missile (Bug-type) - Beedrill will fly a bit higher in the battle area, pull charge into itself and its stinger then fire out multiple projectile green stings at you. Keep moving because Beedrill will turn themselves to target you.
When you defeat Rogue Mega Beedrill you will be rewarded with Beedrillite which is the Mega Stone you need to Mega Evolve a Beedrill during a battle.
That's all for now - good luck taking down Rogue Mega Beedrill!
