Rogue Mega Barbaracle recommended level
Rogue Mega Barbaracle Level is 48, therefore we recommend being between Level 46 and 53 to take them on. If you’re below this level it is possible to take them on, but try to build your team around their weaknesses instead.
Rogue Mega Barbaracle boss strategy
To prepare for this battle you’ll ideally want to build your team around Rogue Mega Barbaracle’s weaknesses, which are Grass, Electric, Fighting and Ground-types. Be careful when building your team as Barbaracle has a few resistances.
As with most other Rogue Mega battles, the key to this one is to keep moving and don’t stay in one place for too long. Remember, you are a target as well as your Pokémon. Also, if you know you can’t get away from an attack in time, you can return your Pokémon to their Poké Ball and take the hit yourself. Keep in mind though that you can only take a limited amount of hits yourself.
Also, don’t forget that you can use your Mega Ring to Mega Evolve once it’s full. If you’re at a lower level than Rogue Mega Barbaracle then we recommend waiting for your Mega Evolution and don’t use Plus Moves before this. However, if you’re at an equal level to or higher than them, then you can use a bit of your Mega Ring’s charge to use Plus Moves.
- Rock Slide - Barbaracle will cause debris and rocks to fall from the sky when they use this, and it will typically land wherever you are standing when Barbaracle starts the attack. The easiest way to avoid this is to keep moving once you see the attack start.
- Power-Up Punch - Barbaracle will charge up its fist very (very) briefly and then swing it out at its target in a powerful punch. Once you see the fist starting to charge, it's best to get as far away as you can
- Slash - They will pull energy in towards itself and start to glow with a bright light. Ideally, you want to attack Barbaracle during this charging up period to stun them and get your own hits in. Be careful! When they recover, they will dash forwards to you and repeatedly punch you in a flurry of high-damage hits.
- Binacle Spawns - Barbarnacle can also spawn Binacles around the battle area. You don't want to ignore these, in fact you really should get rid of them as fast as you can or they'll become a problem. However, never ever take your eyes off Barbaracle!
- Waterfall - Barbaracle will get a large pool of water around its feet then slide towards you during this attack. Again, simply get out of the way!
When you defeat Rogue Mega Barbaracle you’ll be rewarded with Barbaracite. This is the Mega Stone you need to Mega Evolve a Barbaracle during battle.
