How to unlock Mystery Gift in Pokémon Legends Z-A
Mystery Gift is unlocked after you've talked to Mable for the first time in her office during 'Main Mission 3 - A New Life in Lumiose City'. This takes place roughly an hour into the game (though it may take longer if you get distracted catching Pokémon).
To find the Mystery Gift feature, you need to select 'Link Play' from the main in-game menu. After doing so, you'll see the 'Mystery Gift' option on the right-hand side of the screen.
How to redeem Mystery Gift codes in Pokémon Legends Z-A
Mystery Gifts can be redeemed using two methods - using a code, or downloading them via the Internet. Both of these methods require an Internet connection, but you do not need a Nintendo Switch Online membership to collect any of the gifts thankfully.
Redeeming Mystery Gifts via the Internet
- Open the in-game menu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A and select 'Link Play'.
- Then select 'Mystery Gift' and allow your console to connect to the Internet.
- Select 'Get via Internet'.
- Choose the 'Get via Internet' option for a list of all the gifts currently available for download.
Redeeming Mystery Gift codes using Codes/Password
- Open the in-game menu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A and select 'Link Play'.
- Select the 'Mystery Gift' option and allow your Switch or Switch 2 to connect to the Internet.
- Select 'Get with Code/Password'.
- Enter a code from either the list above or an email from Nintendo.
On the Mystery Gift menu, you can also select 'Check Mystery Gifts' to show a list of all the gifts you've received. Quite useful if you're trying to remember whether you've downloaded a gift or not!
Before you go off claiming the latest Mystery Gift codes, it's worth pointing out a few extra things. If you chose the 'Get via Internet' option, you may need to download them one at a time, depending on the number of gifts you're trying to claim. Keep in mind too that there might not always be a gift available, but luckily the game will notify you if this is the case.
If you chose the 'Get with Code/Password' option instead, then you can find the latest codes you can redeem in the table at the top of this guide. You may also have one of these codes in an email you've received from Nintendo (as some codes are unique to each player). No matter the case, input the code and the gift will be downloaded!
