Side Missions are little extra quests you can complete in Pokémon Legends: Z-A and they offer some great rewards. There's also Extra Side Missions, which can be unlocked using the Mystery Gift feature.

Lumiose City is teeming with Side Missions! They range from battling other trainers to fixing Holovators to even stopping a runaway Whirlipede. Side Missions will gradually unlock as you spend more time in Lumiose City.
