Shiny Morelull is available in Pokémon Go!

Released in November 2023, shiny Morelull has been available in Pokémon Go a good few years, which means shiny Shiinotic can be collected too.

With that in mind, let's take a look at what shiny Morelull look like and Morelull's perfect IV stats in Pokémon Go.

Is Morelull shiny in Pokémon Go?

Yes, Morelull can be shiny in Pokémon Go. Shiny Morelull was released in November 2023 at the start of Festival of Colors 2023 event. Its evolution, shiny Shiinotic, was released alongside it.

Because Morelull had a Community Day and has been in events like Go Tours, it is a pretty common shiny. If you're missing one, there's a good chance that one of your high-level friends can trade you one!

What does shiny Morelull look like?

Shiny Morelull is easily the superior version of this Pokémon, being the colour of actual mushrooms. The pink, purple and blue of the regular is fine, but the autumnal brown, yellow, orange and red of the shiny is oddly satisfying.

Shiny Shiinotic keeps this theme, dropping the pink/purple tones for brown/orange ones. You could argue that the pink tones are fitting as a Fairy-type, but given how creepy this Pokémon looks, the autumnal feel just works better. You definitely wouldn't want to see one of these slowly coming towards you after sunset, would you?

How to get shiny Morelull and perfect IV stats

Shiny Shiinotic

Whether you can find Morelull in the wild depends on the season - the in-game event season that is - and what is spawning. If you’re lucky, a one-off event such a Spotlight Hour or Go Tour may feature Morelull, giving you a chance to go shiny hunting. That said, unless those events specifically state that you can get a shiny Morelull, you’re just going to have to rely on dumb luck.

This means walking and clicking on every Morelull you see. The average shiny rate for a non-boosted Pokémon is around 1/500, meaning that for every 500 Morelull you see, one is probably going to be shiny. If you check your Pokédex and seen you have 499 encounters, however, that doesn’t mean your next one is a guaranteed shiny - that’s not how maths works.

Good luck if you're trying for a shiny - that's a lot of Pokémon to check!

The High Voltage event is currently running. There's a lot to do in Pokémon Go outside of the current event! First, it's worth learning about the level update. After this, you might want to fight in the Go Battle League, use Party Play, compete in a PokéStop Showcase or explore a Route for its Gift Exchange. Keep an eye out for rare Pokémon and don't forget to collect Max Particles, so you can battle Dynamax Pokémon in Max Battles.

Morelull 100% perfect stats in Pokémon Go

When talking about a Morelull with 100% perfect stats in Pokémon Go, you're looking for one with 15/15/15 stats to create a maxed out, 100% IV Pokémon, for your 4* Pokédex, raids and the Master League.

If you're looking in the wild and are at least Level 30 (or above), you'll ideally be looking for the following CPs for a perfect 15/15/15 Morelull:

  • Level 30 (wild CP maximum) - 885 CP
  • Level 35 (weather-boosted wild CP maximum - 959 CP

The wild CP value aligns with your Trainer Level until you reach Level 30 and, due to the majority of the player base now being above this level, we've kept to these values for the sake of simplicity. These values will, however, be different if you're currently below Level 30.
