How to get Pichu in Pokémon Legends Z-A
Pichu location explained.
Pichu can be found in Wild Zone 1 - the very first place you visit to catch Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
Yet, while Pichu is easy to see, reaching this little mouse is a different matter in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. After all, there's a lake in the way and apparently you can't swim.
Don't worry though, let's take a look at how to get Pichu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, so you can get this Electric-type on your team.

How to get Pichu in Pokémon Legends Z-A
Pichu can be found in the far western side of Wild Zone 1 in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. When you first spot it, Pichu might seem quite difficult to reach but there are, in fact, two ways to reach this Pokémon - one with Rock Smash and one without.
The non-Rock Smash method is far easier, so let's start with that one. Firstly, you need to ensure you're outside Wild Zone 1 on its western side (basically outside the Pokémon Research Lab).
From there, take the first road to your right. Keep to the right-hand side of this and then take the next right again. You're looking for a small alleyway, but what will stand out are the green gate of a Wild Zone.
Head through these gates and you'll be very close to Pichu!
Now it's important to note that Pichu will flee if it sees you. It will also run away if you attempt to engage it in battle or fail to catch it in a Poké Ball. Due to this, you'll want to crouch down and sneak into the grass. Take the time to line up your Poké Ball shot and, hopefully, you'll catch Pichu. Don't worry if Pichu does run away, it will respawn eventually but it's best you go catch some other Pokémon rather than waiting.
For the Rock Smash method, you first need to unlock this TM by reaching Research Level 2 in Mable's Requests. Thankfully, this is very easy to achieve! Now all you need to do is teach a Pokémon this move. If you've just started playing Legends: Z-A, then Bunnelby will do the trick.
Next, destroy the rock blocking the gateway next to the Wild Zone 1 exit leading to Mable's lab. This will grant you access to the area containing Pichu, but that lake is still in your way.
Thankfully, you can bypass it by climbing the ladder to your right to reach the roof. Now all you have to do is walk along the roof and drop down when you're near Pichu. I highly recommend dropping down into the grass, because, like I mentioned above, Pichu will flee if it spots you.
Best of luck catching Pichu in Pokémon Legends: Z-A! I've also taken a look at how to get Pikachu if you want to get the Pokémon franchise's mascot.
