Knowing where to find Pollywog in Winter Burrow will help you complete the 'Find Pollywog' quest you get from Bufo.

Pollywog is Bufo's young tadpole who ran away after they clashed heads, Bufo seems to reget this now and wants to know they're ok but can't survive the wilderness like you can. So, being the helpful mouse you are in Winter Burrow, you decide to track down Pollywog for them.

Without further ado, here's how to find Pollywog in Winter Burrow.

How to find Pollywog in Winter Burrow

You can find Pollywog south of Bufo's house in Winter Burrow, and though that might sound simple it's quite a trek there. Plus, you'll need a Granite Pickaxe too.

We also recommend cooking recipes to carry with you, especially ones that boost your cold resistance, as you've got a bit of a journey to Pollywog and if you get too cold your health will start depleting.

Get a Granite Pickaxe

Bufo will give you the Granite Pickaxe crafting recipe after you complete the 'An Axe for Bufo' quest. Head back to your burrow and craft it using the following items:

  • 1 Granite - Found in the area outside Bufo's house.
  • 1 Wool Yarn - Knitted from Fur Tufts.
  • 1 Pinewood - Found in Shadow Forest.
  • 1 Oak Wood - Found in the area outside Bufo's house.

Once you've made this, add it to your quick grab inventory and pack your inventory up ready for an adventure.

Start at Bufo's house

Head to Bufo's home, warm up from your walk there and then leave Bufo's house using the south-west exit.

Once you're out of Bufo's home, head south by following the edge of the water. Eventually, you won't be able to go any further. At this point, head left and keep looking at the bottom of your screen for a pile of stone boulders that can be destroyed.

Break through these boulders and keep following the newly revealed path south into the next area.

Journey south-east to the Granite boulders

Once you're in the next area, keep heading south until you walk through a tall patch of grass. Once you're through this, you need to head down and to the right. You should then come across a log tunnel where Granite boulders are blocking your path (this is why you need the Pickaxe.)

Use your Granite Pickaxe to break through the boulders. When you've done this, keep heading to the right and into the next area.

Find Pollywog

In the next area, head right but stick to the bottom of your screen as you do so. Eventually, you'll see some broken log tunnels leading downwards then to the right. Follow these.

Keep following the broken log tunnels until you come to a small opening. Deal with the Wood Beetle here, then head south through the tall patch of grass.

On the other side of the grass, keep heading around to the left and you'll find Pollywog sitting by a fire!
