Hawlucha in Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a Fighting and Flying-type Pokémon you need to catch if you want to add more to your Pokédex.

You can hunt down Hawlucha in the early hours of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and they can prove to be a powerful ally to have on your team as you adventure around Lumiose City. You will need to complete a specific Side Mission to be able to reach them, but the low level Pokémon you encounter should be a breeze to beat.

Hawlucha location in Pokémon Legends Z-A

You can find Hawlucha in Pokémon Legends: Z-A on the rooftops near Restaurant Le Yeah in Rouge District. This is just north north-east of Wild Zone 3. We've marked the location on the map below. However, you must complete Side Mission 4 'A Break Time Battle' to be able to reach it.

Use the Holovator that’s to the south-west of the Wild Zone once you’ve completed Side Mission 4 to reach the rooftops here. When you get to the roof, head left then follow the path forwards up onto the slightly raised rooftop where Emolga is.

From this roof, head around to the right until you come to the point where webbing has been clumped together across the rooftops. To free the webbing to make a bridge, use a ranged attack on the clump in the middle. For example, we used Charmeleon’s Ember attack.

Once this opens up into a full bridge, cross to the next rooftop and keep heading along to the right until you come to a point where a plank is crossing the gap between two buildings. Sometimes, you can find Pidgey perched up here.

Cross the plank to the next roof and your Hawlucha will be up here to the right, where the green area is. Now, your next job is to catch it. Hawlucha seems to be quite alert, so if you’re attempting to sneak up on them you need to be very careful.

If, like us, you end up battling Hawlucha then we recommend only taking its health down to the red bar before attempting to catch it with a Great or Ultra Ball. This is because, if you knock out Hawlucha, you’ll only get one chance to catch them.

How to complete Side Mission 4 'A Break Time Battle' in Pokémon Legends Z-A

To fix the Holovator needed to reach Hawlucha’s location, you need to complete Side Mission 4- 'A Break Time Battle'.

To start this mission, head to the broken Holovator on the side of the building that’s south-west of Wild Zone 3. You can find the location marked on the map below:

Speak to the Builder, Sommi, here and he'll challenge you to a battle. Here are Sommi’s Pokémon and their weaknesses to help you beat them:

Once you’ve won the battle, Sommi will repair the Holovator and this Side Mission will be complete. You can now start looking for Hawlucha!
