Genshin Impact Durin materials, kit, and Constellations

Durin is a 5-Star Pyro character who is likely being added to Genshin Impact during version 6.2.

While Durin should be featured as a boosted 5-Star character on his Banner in version 6.2, he will eventually return to Genshin Impact at some point in the future when the Banner schedule cycles back to him.

If you want to prepare for him, we've listed reliable leaks of Durin's Ascension materials and Talent materials so you can level him up to his full potential right away. To understand how you might play him, we've also detailed what we know about Durin's kit and Constellations.

Durin kit

Durin is a 5-Star Pyro character who uses a Sword.

Keeping in mind that this is leaked beta information from Hakush that could change upon Durin's official release, here's a summary of Durin's kit in Genshin Impact:

• Element: Pyro.
• Rarity: 5-Star.
• Weapon: Sword.
• Normal Attack: Radiant Wingslash.
• Elemental Skill: Binary Form: Convergence and Division.
• Elemental Burst: Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts
• Passive one: Light Manifest of the Divine Calculus - Durin will trigger different buffs depending on the form his power manifests as when he unleashes his Elemental Burst. When that form is:
• Dragon of White Flame - After nearby party members trigger Burning, Overloaded, Pyro Swirl, or Pyro Crystallize reactions on an opponent or deal Pyro damage or Dendro damage to an opponent affected by Burning, that opponent's Pyro Resistance, and the Resistance for the corresponding Element involved in the reaction, are decreased by 20% for six seconds.
• Dragon of Dark Decay - Durin's Vaporize damage is increased by 40% and his Melt damage is increased by 40%.
• Passive two: Chaos Formed Like the Night - When Durin undergoes Essential Transmutation and enters the Confirmation of Purity or Denial of Darkness states, his Elemental Burst base damage is increased by 1% for every 100 attack up to a maximum of 25% of the base damage.
• Passive three: Echoes of the Surging Earth - Gains 25% more rewards when dispatched on a Mondstadt Expedition for 20 hours.
• Passive four: Witch's Eve Rite: Ode to Ascension - After completing Witch's Homework: Of This World, Durin will become a Magic character. When the party includes at least two Magic characters, you will gain the Magic: Secret Rite effect, which enhances Magic characters. This increases the effects of Light Manifest of the Divine Calculus by 75% except for its duration.

Durin Normal Attack - Radiant Wingslash

Durin performs up to four consecutive strikes if tapping the normal attack button.

Holding the attack button down instead makes Durin consume stamina to perform a forwards slash with his sword.

As with most plunging attacks, Durin strikes the ground below dealing AOE (Area of Effect) damage upon impact, and damaging any enemies caught on his path to the ground.

Durin Elemental Skill - Binary Form: Convergence and Division

Durin can undergo an Essential Transmutation, which replaces Convergence and Division with the Elemental Skill Transmutation: Confirmation of Purity. As an added bonus, Radiant Wingslash is replaced with Transmutation: Denial of Darkness.

When looking at these move changes themselves, it's important to note that Confirmation of Purity deals one instance of AOE Pyro damage to nearby opponents. Once used, the Essential Transmutation ends and Durin enters the Confirmation of Purity state for 30 seconds.

Denial of Darkness, meanwhile, allows Durin to deal three consecutive instances of Pyro damage to opponents in front of him. This will also reverse the Essential Transmutation and cause him to enter the Denial of Darkness state for 30 seconds.

In both the Confirmation of Purity and Denial of Darkness state, Durin restores a certain amount of Elemental Energy every six seconds.

Durin Elemental Burst - Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts

The Elemental Bursts offered by Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts depend on Durin's Essential Transmutation state. Though both versions of Durin's Elemental Burst have similar effects.

If Durin is in the Confirmation of Purity state, then he will use Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts. This deals three instances of AOE Pyro damage to opponents in front of him. It also allows him to use the Dragon of White Flame form, which will follow the current active character while periodically attacking nearby opponents. These attacks will deal AOE Pyro damage, with this damage being considered Elemental Burst damage. This Elemental Burst will also be automatically used if Durin is not in an Essential Transmutation state.

Meanwhile, if Durin is in the Denial of Darkness state, the Elemental Burst will Principle of Darkness: As the Stars Smolder. This deals three instances of AOE Pyro damage to opponents in front of Durin and manifests his Dragon of Dark Decay form. Again, this form will follow the current active character and periodically attack a single nearby opponent. This is Pyro damage and considered Elemental Burst damage.

Durin Talent materials

To get the most out of using Durin, you will have to level his skills up by using Talent materials, which vary from character-to-character.

With the latest beta information sourced from honeyhunterworld, for Durin, it looks like you'll need to farm a lot of Warrant, Eroded Sunfire and Ballad materials to fully upgrade his capabilities.

As Durin has three Talents, you will have to spend three times the Talent materials listed below to fully upgrade all of his abilities, which we've also detailed below the table.

Durin Ascension materials

Just like Talents, you need to use Durin Ascension materials to upgrade his health, attack, defence, and critical hit effectiveness.

Based off the same honeyhunterworld beta leaks, it looks like you'll need to farm a lot of Frostlamp Flower and Agnidus Agate materials for Durin to fully upgrade his capabilities.

Unlike Talent materials, you only need to spend the below Ascension materials once to fully raise Durin to his highest character level. There is also Acquaint Fate rewarded for reaching certain Ascension levels. You can spend this Fate on the standard and beginner Banners to Wish for characters and weapons.

Durin Constellations

By getting duplicates of Durin from wishing on his Banner, you will receive his Stella Fortuna. This material allows you to unlock Constellation levels, with each upgrade either improving an existing Talent or Passive ability.

With thanks to Hakush again for sourcing this leaked beta information, here are all of Durin's Constellations in Genshin Impact:

• Adamah's Redemption (C1): After casting his Elemental Burst, Durin's effects will vary depending on the form of his Elemental Burst. Keep in mind that, when an Elemental Burst is used, the Cycle of Enlightenment stacks described below will be reset.
• Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts: All nearby characters in the party gain 18 stacks of Cycle of Enlightenment lasting 20 seconds. When nearby active characters deal normal attack, charged attack, plunging attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst damage, one stack of Cycle of Enlightenment will be consumed to increase the damage dealt by 60% of Durin's attack. Stack counts for characters in the party who have Cycle of Enlightenment are managed individually.
• Principle of Darkness: As the Stars Smolder: Durin gains 18 stacks of Cycle of Enlightenment lasting 20 seconds. When Durin deals Elemental Burst damage, two stacks of Cycle of Enlightenment will be consumed to increase the damage dealt by 200% of Durin's attack.
• Unground Visions (C2): For 20 seconds after Durin uses an Elemental Burst, after nearby party members trigger Vaporize, Melt, Burning, Overloaded, Pyro Swirl, or Pyro Crystallize reactions or deal Pyro damage or Dendro damage to an opponent affected by Burning, all nearby party members will gain a 50% increase to their Pyro damage and to the corresponding element damage involved in the reaction for six seconds.
• Flame Mirror's Revelation (C3): Increases the Level of Durin's Elemental Burst by three, with a maximum upgrade level of 15.
• Emanare's Source (C4): For 20 seconds after triggering Adamah's Redemption and gaining the Cycle of Enlightenment effect, Durin's Elemental Burst damage is increased by 40%, while Cycles of Enlightenment will gain a 30% chance to not be consumed when their consumption is triggered.
• Scouring Flame's Sundering (C5): Increases the Level of Durin's Elemental Skill by three, with a maximum upgrade level of 15.
• Dual Birth (C6): Durin's Elemental Burst damage ignores 30% of opponents' defense. Additionally, Durin's Elemental Bursts are each enhanced:
• After Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts and Dragon of White Flame hit an opponent, that opponent's defense is decreased by 30% for six seconds.
• Damage from Principle of Darkness: As the Stars Smolder and Dragon of Dark Decay will ignore an additional 40% of opponents' defense.
